Third Cup is a free membership community that brings adults across the DMV together for thoughtful, facilitated conversations over coffee, brunch, and dinner.
Why we exist
Many of us spend our days surrounded by people and still miss the feeling of genuine exchange. Third Cup provides a space for curiosity: small tables, purposeful prompts, and no need to network or perform.
What membership means
Membership helps us keep gatherings trusted, diverse, and respectful. Applications are reviewed by a person. Approval is not a judgment of status or credentials; we look for a clear willingness to listen, contribute, and honor the table agreement.
Who we are
We are actually just one person, Kyle, who created this site as a haven for the intellectually curious. I've purposefully designed the site to be just heavy enough to organize events. The emphasis is always in the real world, not the website.
What we are not
Third Cup is not a dating service, debate club, professional networking group, or public social platform. We do not sell data.
